  7. The composition and air perspective like from Poussin's paintings...
Eh, we're all missing... Arcady, Paradise, Avalon, Ultima Thule... Desired places, but great water divides them from us... We imagine them as a places of ethernal happiness and forget one small issue - "Et in Arcadia Ego"...
Maybe Arcadia means rest from everyday life, occasion to have a distance and to see a meaning of all that. But we're always back to our lives, because we also miss them...
Well, your picture stimulates reflections :-) The picture tells a story.

  8. Thank you for this wonderful comment ... I would not go so far as to say that I miss Arcadia, no ... it is only the small time-outs, the longing for peace and beauty that I want to express it ... I think it's important in itself be Avalon, Thule or however always found to have life long and not long for dreams that are not realistic. The beauty is in us and hence visible and palpable.

    Hugs

  9. That's the point - the most important (and beautiful) things are hidden in us. And artist's job is to help us to touch them. And learn. The art gives us a boat to cross this great water. Or, at last, tells where to find the boat... ;-)
