Piazza dell' Anfiteatro, an oval shaped piazza, was the site of a Roman amphitheater. Parts of the original oval ground-plan and outer ring of second-century construction can still be seen. Buildings and houses were built around the arena during the middle ages. The lively piazza is ringed with shops, cafes, and restaurants both inside and out. In July, it's the venue for open-air music performances.

Vielen Dank Jutta für deine nette Replik. Ja, das war eine nicht so einfach Entscheidung, ich kann mich gut erinnern. Ich habe an dieser Stelle viel "herum experimentiert", aber entweder stimmte dann der sichtbare Ausschnitt nicht, oder es liefen mir ständig Leute vor dem Objektiv herum - der Ort ist wahrlich stark frequentiert. So gut 20 Aufnahmen sind dort entstanden. Ich habe allerdings eine gelungene Aufnahme mit dem exakt dem von dir angesprochenen geschlossenen Bogen mit dem iPhone aufgenommen, das ich oft als Normal- bzw. Weitwinkel in solchen Situationen benutze, um einen ständigen Objektivwechsel zu vermeiden. Hinzu kam, es zog "wie Hechtsuppe" in diesem Durchgang, so dass ich letztendlich aufgab.
